MEET OUR INSTRUCTORS

Jennifer Price

Jennifer created Excel Enrichment II LLC in 2006 as a fundraiser for her daughters’ fifth grade end of the year party. Since then, the name has changed to Nuts About Science and has grown to thirteen schools in Michigan. Jennifer received a B. S. in Aquatic Ecology from the University of Michigan in 1995 and her teaching certificate in 2005 from Eastern Michigan University. She loves to share her passion for science, especially environmental science, to students of all ages. ​

Elizabeth Nitz

​Elizabeth began teaching with Nuts About Science in 2012 and has become the backbone of Nuts About Science Michigan. Elizabeth earned a B. S. degree in Psychology from Michigan State in 1993 and a teaching certificate in 1998 from Eastern Michigan University. She has two daughters and along with her Mechanical Engineer husband enjoy performing many at home science experiments. In her spare time Elizabeth loves to apply her knowledge of behavioral psychology by training her octopus and fish.

Bill Lietz

Bill joined Nuts About Science in 2019 after retiring from the Livonia Public School District after teaching there for many years. Bill earned a B.S. and M.S. from Wayne State University. Bill is loved by students, parents and his colleagues.

Michele Gradinscak

Michele joined Nuts About Science in 2013 and has been a wonderful addition. She earned a Bachelors degree from Michigan State University and has one beautiful daughter. Michele also teaches at the Detroit Science Center and loves to develop new and creative experiments.

Brenda Doulette

Brenda joined Nuts About Science in 2013. Brenda has had a love for science since receiving her first microscope at age 7. She graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a bachelor of art degree in elementary education in 2003.  Since then, she worked at New Morning School in Plymouth as an elementary teacher, science teacher, and summer science camp instructor. Brenda enjoys putting together science experiments at home with her children and neighborhood friends.
